At the October Irving Art Association Members Meeting on Tuesday, October 25th, printmaker Junanne Peck will lead a hands-on demonstration of the drypoint technique of printmaking. Drypoint is a very popular technique and an ideal introduction to Intaglio printmaking processes.
Since this is a hands-on demo, she will invite the audience to participate. Artists will produce a printing plate from an original drawing or design and will become familiar with printmaking processes, tools, and techniques using non-toxic water-based Akua Inks. Printing will be done on a 4”x 6” card.
Doors open at 6:30 pm. Business meeting and announcements start at 7:00 pm, followed by the art demonstration. Visitors are welcome.
Location: Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving TX 75061
Note: Each month members should bring one of their recent artworks by 6:45 p.m. to participate in the “Artist of the Month” competition. The winning artist is awarded a prize and the artwork is displayed in the Gallery until the next monthly meeting.
As always all gatherings are better with food! Please bring a snack to share (optional).
