Rockwall Art League Meeting, August 24 – Matt Bagley Artist/Printmaker

The Rockwall Art League is honored to host artist Matt Bagley, as their feature artist for August.

Matt trained as a printmaker from the University of North Texas, and he currently uses woodblock prints (often on handmade paper) as his preferred method of making his vision a reality.

In this fun, hands-on demo. Participants will print a variety of pre-inked relief blocks using the Print Frog Glass Baren. These blocks will include Matt’s art blocks, blocks created by other artists, antique letterpress blocks, wood grain, and found object plates. Matt Bagley is a Dallas-based artist best known for his PrintShop a Go-Go program, a mobile printshop that can teach printmaking to anybody anywhere, and his invention, the Print Frog Glass Baren, is the most efficient tool for printing without a press.

The meeting will take place on August 24 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Harry Meyers Community Center, 815 E. Washington St., Rockwall, TX 75087. The public is welcome.
