Basic oil painting: This course is designed to help both beginning painters and students needing refresher in basics gain understanding in fundamentals of oil painting materials and techniques. First day morning – review basic principles, composition, color theory, perspective, color. mixing etc. materials required, safety tips for oil painting followed by short demonstration. All participants will be painting in the studio for the remainder of the workshop.
A supply/material list will be provided upon registration. Participants may choose to paint from the same reference photo or each participant can choose an individual reference photo to paint from. Instructor reserves the option to reject complicated reference photos as this is a basic beginner workshop. Minimum 4/Maximum 10 participants required to hold the workshop. Paid enrollees will be sent an e-mail confirmation as well as additional class information, supply list and suggestions prior to attending the first class.
