Using cast glass and granite, New Hampshire sculptor Thomas Scoonfocuses exclusively on the human figure, abstracting itwhile emphasizing the essence of gender, gestureand other human characteristics.The organic granite stones have spectacular tracesof quartz, mica, and iron running through them,and juxtaposed with translucent glass, result in worksthat balance the beauty of nature and explorefamilial and generational relationships,both as a personal narrative and universal construct.
