COHORT 3: STUDIO ARTIST INCUBATOR PROGRAM The Cedars Union’s Cohort program is an 18-month art studio lease that nurtures the next steps for artists to thrive within their interests and practice. The program supports 15 artists with diversity in experience, media, and background by providing them an affordable micro studio in a community focused setting. Cohort artists advance their professional and creative practice through shared workspace with state-of-the-art facilities, training, and programming. Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, the Cohort artists learn from each other while gaining opportunities for new skills, exposure, and networking. |
ART AND EQUITY SCHOLARSHIP: FUNDED SPACE FOR BIPOC ARTISTS The Cedars Union Art and Equity Scholarship offers three artists of color funded memberships at The Cedars Union for 18 months. One artist will be granted an 8×8 micro-studio as part of The CU’s Artist Cohort Program while two artists will be granted a Community Membership, providing access to shared spaces, tools and programs at the CU without a personal studio. Applicants must be 18 or older, live within 100 miles of The Cedars Union and identity as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) or ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, Native American) artists to apply. The Art and Equity Scholarship application is through the same portal as the Cohort 3 Studio Artist application. Applicants will have the option to apply for either or both programs. |
