About the artist, Jeff Rogalski: Born and raised in Chicago, Jeff found his way to Dallas in 1987 and has enjoyed a successful and abundant 30+ year career in Marketing Communications and Design. He graduated with a B.S. in Design from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology.

Jeff loves natural wood and, in discovering the many species of exotic hardwoods, he began making cutting boards in 2011 and the creative complexity of his designs grew into works of art.

He decided to introduce the world to these treasures by making beautiful art featuring the end grain of exotic hardwoods in all of their beautiful natural colors, woodgrain textures, and characteristics. Species like Bubinga, Padauk, Purpleheart, Wenge, Yellowheart, Nogal, Sapele, Lacewood. Most of the world has never seen the beauty of end grain, much less known that such beauty in end grain in exotic hardwoods even exists! This was Jeff’s opportunity to show the world the beauty and abundance of these exotic hardwoods featuring the end grain. Thus, the birthing of his EndGrainArt!
