Learn how to prepare papers to create signatures. Stitch each signature into the exposed binding and make a closure for your new journal. We will cut or tear the paper in class. The finished class sketchbook or journal will be 8” by 8” and will contain 72 pages.
Supplies to bring: Please bring your own paper for the pages
– OR paper is available in the studio – Three 22 x 30″ sheets for $12
If you bring your own paper, you will need 3 sheets of 140# paper – Fabriano or Fluid work best, CP or HP
(please don’t bring Arches because it tends to crack when folded) .
Supplies: If possible, bring an awl, a bone folder, and pliers.
