Copic Club birthday card project August 17

Registration is officially open for our next Copic Club class.  It will be held at the Jaycee Arts Center in Irving on Saturday, August 17th from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

This month, we’ll create a beautiful birthday card for someone special in your life using this elegant floral image by Simon Says Stamp.  We’ll start off by playing with red Copic colors to create flowers that seem to pop off the page!  I’ll show you all my fav techniques for coloring fabulous flowers.

Just for fun, I’ve decided to offer a second bonus card kit for FREE this month!  We’ll finish the red flower card in class and as time allows, we’ll work on the below project as well.  As always, you’ll get step-by-step instructions to take home with you.

In this month’s class, you will learn:

  • How to shade petals of a flower with high contrast so they pop off the page
  • How to successfully use reds (which can be tricky)
  • How to think outside the box when choosing colors (hello blue flowers!)
  • And more!

The August Copic Club class fee is $30.  Suggested Copic colors to bring with you will be sent after payment is received.

Ready to sign up and join in the fun?  Email Laura Griffin at [email protected].  Available spots are on a first come, first serve basis.  Class size will be limited, and I anticipate it will fill fast.  Class is held at the Jaycee Arts Center (located at 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving, TX 75061).  The Copic Club classroom will open at 9 a.m. and club class will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.
