Cultura Del Vaquero  1/4/19- 2/20/19
The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is the oldest continuously running livestock show and rodeo. The Fort Worth Community Arts Center, neighbor to the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum, continues to dedicate February 2019 to the spirit of the west. Our 9,000 square feet of gallery space will showcase works that embrace the spirit and theme of the west.

‌ ‌ ‌ Fort Worth Art Commission Meeting February 11, 2019 5:30 p.m.
At their February meeting, the Fort Worth Art Commission will approve the selected artist for the Eastside Family Library Public Art Project, review Dixie Friend Gay’s Preliminary Design for Foster Park and receive updates on the Highland Hills, Bonnie Brae, and Rosedale Plaza Park Public Art Projects.

Artist Talk: Marshall Harris February 15, 2019 6:30 p.m.
“I design my work to be declarative and intentional with no happenstance to complicate the work. My works are intended to make you look, look again, and then ask questions.” -Marshall Harris
An artist talk by Marshall Harris. Harris’ exhibition, I Wanna Be A Cowboy features original graphite on mylar drawings and limited edition prints of meticulously detailed objects including several renderings of ornate Western saddles.
From January 11 to February 7, 2019, a raffle to benefit the Arts Center will be held for a chance to own a signed artist proof by Harris. Tickets are $5 each. The lucky winner will take home a print of M.L. Leddy Saddle which is valued at $1,500 retail price.
