Local artists and art patrons, we invite you to join or visit the Richardson Civic Art Society (RCAS). RCAS is a non-profit volunteer-run organization providing a support system locally for the visual arts. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month beginning at 6:30 pm – from September through November and January through May – in the Richardson Public Library basement meeting room.
The featured demo artist for the upcoming February 19th meeting is alcohol ink artist Maribeth Jagger. Members also compete for painting-of-the-month cash awards with the first prize winner selected to exhibit the first place painting at the Richardson Civic Center.
Throughout the year, RCAS offers members several opportunities for public art exhibitions and sales. This includes Spring and Summer Shows at the Richardson Public Library. RCAS is also sponsoring the upcoming Young People’s Scholarship Show in the Richardson Public Library February 21-March 21 as well as the juried Regional Show April-May at the Eisemann Center. Also, look for our rotating member exhibitions at the Civic Center, the Huffhines Recreation Center, and the Heights Recreation Center.
RCAS welcomes you to join our organization or visit some of our exhibits to see some great local art. Please go to http://www.richardson-arts.org for more information.
