The exhibition will open with an artist’s reception on Saturday, January 5th ,2019, from 5 – 8 pm. New_drawings_1-21c will be on view through February 9, 2019. |
| In this exhibition, Harding expands his previous focus on rectilinear angles to include curved lines, resembling those found on a globe, or from tracked waves of atomic particles. Recent work by Harding continues his engagement with the formal language of minimalism and pop art through his use of saturated bright colors, finished with machine-like precision, in glistening plastic surfaces. His polished semi-industrial aesthetic follows the west coast minimalism of artists like the 1960’s Los Angeles group known as the “Cool School,” which included figures like Larry Bell, Robert Irwin, and Ed Moses, who become central to the California Light and Space movement.
