Day of the Dog: Sona Knox

Sona Knox is a painter and potter and will be exhibiting her work honoring her beloved pets, Daisy and Rocket, the original Art House Art Dogs. She has also created an altar celebrating All Saints Day and encourages attendees to bring pictures and toys to honor their pets; pet toys will be donated to the SPCA.
“I have created an altar on All Saints Day, as a ritual to honor my parents, in-laws and beloved dogs who has passed away. By lighting candles, putting out their favorite personal items and photos, and food, I feel a sense of joy and healing. I invite the McKinney community to bring photos of their pets and treats or a new toy to put on the 3 story altar that I will assemble in order to celebrate the lives of of our furry friends who loved us unconditionally.”–Sona
