You are invited to a presentation and demonstration by Artist Mindy Faubion on September 4th at 6:45 pm at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, 400 East Hickory Street, in Denton, Texas. Mindy will be presenting and demonstrating handbuilding, mixing stains and creating pattern with porcelain clay.
Mindy is a local Denton artist and member of VAST. She teaches watercolor, silk painting and pottery in Corinth, Tx. at Beulah Acres art center. Mindy earned a BFA from the University of North Texas with a concentration in Watercolor and Studio Arts. She has exhibited and won awards nationally and internationally in watercolor and ceramics. She loves color, and clay is an alternative canvas.
Join us to hear all about this technique and the demonstration using porcelain clay in handbuilding, mixing stains and creating a pattern which can be used to make a plate, bowl, etc. A great evening of learning and also snacks. Come hear and see this beautiful technique.
