Call for Artists: We Are Lewisville

Call for Artists: We Are Lewisville

Deadline for Application: Friday, April 28, 2023, 5 p.m.

As part of the public art plan for 2023 the City of Lewisville and the Arts Advisory Board seek to answer the question “who are we as a community?” in the context of visual arts with a project based in portrait photography. The working title for this project is “We Are Lewisville” and this call seeks an artist to create a photography-based collage installation that reflects a visual representation of Lewisville, highlighting the diversity of the City’s population. The resulting work should be approximately 6-feet high by 10-feet long and will be displayed in the new Serve Lewisville facility.

The project will create a photography-based installation that reflects a visual representation of Lewisville, highlighting the diversity of the City’s population inclusive of various sub-communities, age brackets, socio-economic groups, race, and gender. The final project will contain a blend of images that create a collage or similar display to represent the broad spectrum of community within Lewisville.

Eligibility: Artists regional to North Texas. Artists may apply as a single artist or as a multi-person collaborative group. In the case of a group, please apply under one single application.
