The Texas Triffid Ranch, Dallas’s pretty much only carnivorous plant gallery, announces the return of the Nightmare Weekends Before Christmas, a series of open houses held every Saturday in December from December 3 to 24, running from noon until 5:00 pm. The Venus flytraps and North American pitcher plants are currently in their much-needed winter dormancy and won’t be out until April, but the gallery is full of unique enclosures full of Asian pitcher plants, South American pitcher plants, Australian pitcher plants, sundews, butterworts, and bladderworts, promising a touch of green at the beginning of winter.
