Annual Plano Art Association Members’ Show is at ArtCentre of Plano Through January 21
The work of fifty local artists, members of Plano Art Association, will exhibit their work at the beautiful ArtCentre of Plano from December 3 through January 21.
Visual art categories include Photography, 2–D (Painting and Drawing) and 3–D Dimensional pieces.
An awards reception will be held on December 10 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the ArtCentre of Plano where juried awards will be presented. Each category will have one first-place $150 award, one second-place $100 award and one third-place $50 award.
The juror for the show will be Courtney Hitt, long-time arts advocate, and facilitator of the arts in Plano and the City Government of Plano. Courtney considers herself an arts advocate first, in addition to her work as an artist and teaching artist. Serving previously on the Cultural Arts Commission for the City of Plano, part of that time as chair, she currently serves on the advisory board for KERA/KXT, the ArtCentre of Plano, and Leadership Plano (LP).
“This will be our final exhibit of the year and the first one of 2023 in celebration of the arts. The ArtCentre of Plano is our host gallery this year, and we are so pleased to exhibit in their gallery,” stated Gaby Pruitt, President of Plano Art Association.
At the reception on December 10, Plano Art Association will collect art supplies as Christmas gifts to be donated to needy children distributed by the Collin County Assistance Center.
