Historic McKinney enjoys a thriving art community of several hundred professional artists, including painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, woodcarvers and turners, mixed media artists, jewelers, and even a puppet maker. http://mckinneyartstudiotour.com
Mark your calendar for November 13-14, 2021. Come meet 40 of our artists and makers, to celebrate and support their contribution to our community. More than 900 guests enjoyed this free event last year, which marked the 10th anniversary of the Tour. 2020 is a unique year for the McKinney Art Studio Tour. COVID-19 introduces new uncertainties and safety concerns. We’re continuing our Studio Tour tradition, but with some changes. Not all artists will open their workspaces to the public but have chosen creative alternatives. Some are displaying their art in an easy-to-access garage or porch or banded together in a shared location, while others opted for open-air locations. Our priority is YOUR safety, as well as the artists and makers participating in the Studio Tour. We ask you to wear masks, use hand sanitizer OFTEN, and respect the protocols requested by the artists you visit. If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
