Students will create a piece of art worthy of being put in a frame in the Contemporary 3D Collage Workshop!
Students will choose and arrange images, select a color palette, and develop a center of interest to create an aesthetically pleasing framed composition.
You will be encouraged to collect your own fabric, art and fashion magazines, hand made papers, beads and small collage objects in a variety of shapes and sizes that reflect your taste. These items should be meaningful to you, such as concert tickets, letters, maps from trips you’ve taken, memorabilia, dried flower, pressed leaves, and old book pages, etc. The most important item you are required to bring is a couple of photocopies or laser prints of pictures you’ve taken in a variety of sizes in both color and black and white. The more material means the more design options you’ll have. Matte medium and glue brushes are provided. Keep in mind, no image or object should larger than 9”. Details on the frame will be provided at workshop. There will be some advance preparation needed for this workshop.
