About
Originally a 44 acre dairy farm, the Dallas Arboretum now expands over 66 acres of botanical gardens, wooded area, water features, and more. The property was purchased by the DeGolyer’s who, in 1939, built a 21,000 square foot Latin Colonial Revival style house made to look like it was 100 years old. Adjacent to the DeGolyer House is the 8,500 square foot Alex Camp House, which provides a stunning view of White Rock Lake. At the time of our visit, the ZimSculpt exhibition will be on display. The exhibition features contemporary sculptures by Zimbabwean artists. Visit www.dallasarboretum.org for more information.
Admission prices range from $10-$15 per person per day plus $10 for parking. Hours are from 9am-5pm. A reservation for both admission and parking is required, so don’t wait to book at https://reservations.dallasarboretum.org. As of this writing, face coverings are required.
