Pop Icon Art Workshop at The Mix Creative Space

May 15th from 2-4 pm (or) May 29th from 2-4 pm
$20 for each workshop, payable at time of workshop.
Are you a fan of the iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo? Do you love listening to Willie Nelson sing On the Road Again? Are you a fan of Lady Gaga or Prince?
Join us at The Mix Creative Space on either: Saturday, May 15th from 2-4 pm, or Saturday, May 29th from 2-4 pm, for a Pop Icon Art Workshop and create your very own icon using a variety of mediums (acrylic, watercolor, colored pencils, markers) and mixed media materials and embellishments.
You do not need to be an artist to participate. You just need to want to have fun and bring out your creative side!
A brief presentation at the beginning of the workshop on the style and technique of old icon paintings that traditionally depicted revered figures or events will serve as the inspiration for this fun creative session.
The program will be conducted by Jacque Forsher and Andrea Lamarsaude, both visual artists at The Mix Creative Space. Art supplies will be provided and are included in the price of the workshop but feel free to bring your own if you like.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Space is limited to 8 students and reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. Social distancing protocols will be in place.
