The El Paso Children’s Museum will commission regional artists to create four installations for the spectacular Snohetta-designed building, scheduled to open in 2022.
The budget for each installation ranges from $5,000 to $15,000. The pieces will complement four distinct zones in the museum, which will be built at 201 W. Main, just north of the El Paso Museum of Art. Artists with large art installation experience are preferred.

The Annual National Drawing and Small Sculpture Show attracts works by contemporary artists across the country and is judged by a guest juror of national stature. Resulting Purchase Awards have built an impressive Permanent Collection at Del Mar College.
This year’s 55th show runs February 19, 2021, opening reception 6-8 p.m. and closes May 7, 2021. Accepted artwork is displayed in the distinctive Joseph A. Cain Memorial Gallery.

A NATIONAL EXHIBITION
Now in its sixth year, the CAL National has grown into one of the premier shows in Texas in a very short time. Last year saw nearly 700 entries from 40 states. This year the 2021 CAL National is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts as a part of their Artistic Enrichment in American Communities (AEAC) program.
Categories include Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media and Photography with recognition in each category along with an overall Best of Show.
The month-long exhibition will also feature the creation of a collaborative mural on a free-standing canvas with internationally recognized Vickie McMillan Hayes leading a group of hands-on artists and non-artists.
The exhibit will be taking place alongside other art events in Historic Downtown Conroe including the Young Texas Artists Classical Music Competition and performances from member organizations of the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance featuring literature, theatre, chorale, dance, jazz and other arts…

The 44th Annual International Watermedia Online Exhibition (IWE) will highlight the artistic excellence of its global participants in an online gallery exhibit held in Houston’s popular Museum District. In March 2021, selected entries will receive maximum exposure at our juried, month-long online exhibit and have an opportunity to win generous awards from our sponsors. An archived catalogue will remain online through the end of 2021. This year highly sought after Keiko Tanabe is the Juror and Instructor. The 44th IWE is intended to help promote and provide optimal exposure for outstanding international artists who excel in water media.
Founded in 1975, the Watercolor Art Society – Houston (WAS-H) is known for its extraordinary achievements in bringing water media artwork to the greater Houston area. The only watermedia nonprofit in Houston, WAS-H offers exceptional exhibitions, dedicated community outreach, and educational programs provided by world class instructors.
