Elizabeth A. Yarosz-Ash – VAST November Guest Artist Presentation & Demo

You are invited to a free presentation and demonstration (via Zoom) by Elizabeth A. Yarosz-Ash. Ms. Yarosz-Ash is a nationally recognized and award winning artist, teacher and juror.

 

Liz will be presenting information on her new COVID Series and the work produced during her recent Artist-in- Residence program at the Brinton Museum in Big Horn/Sheridan, Wyoming. She will also include a demonstration of techniques.

 

Liz works in a variety of mediums including watercolor, acrylic, printmaking, sculpture and collage. She has shown in over 370 exhibitions and has received over 86 exhibition awards. Her works can be found in over 90 corporate, institutional and private collections.

 

She is a Professor Emeritus at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 1991, she was selected for the University’s Hardin Professor Award and has been a full professor since 1992.
From 2002-2004 she served as President of the Watercolor USA Honor Society. In 2011 she was selected as a finalist for the Hunting Art Prize, a prestigious annual $50,000 award competition open to Texas Artists.

 

She served as a Fulbright Specialist to Grenada, West Indies in 2013, was the recipient of the 2014 Distinguished Texas Artist Award, and was a finalist for the Santo Foundation 2015 Individual Artist Awards. In 2016 she was a finalist for a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship, Washington, DC.
