Where do artistic expression, community support, and a whole lot of fun mingle? At Cancer Support Community North Texas’, Paint the Canvas Red, virtual fundraising event, of course! Cancer Support Community North Texas would like to invite you to be a part of our “sip and paint” party in celebration of our free program of support with a focus on the healing benefits of art, especially for those impacted by cancer.
CSCNT is a non-profit with three locations, in Dallas, Plano, and Fort Worth, where we provide social and emotional support, FREE of charge, to ANYONE impacted by cancer. Despite closing our in-person services in March, we’ve continued to provide our same program of support virtually. During these stressful times, many of our members and supporters have benefitted from our Friday art sessions on Facebook Live and have found it to be a fun and expressive pastime! Because cancer never stops, neither can we!
It was important to us to have an event that brings our community together virtually and gives a look at one of the many programs CSCNT offers our members, so Paint the Canvas Red will take the place of our annual Red Tie Gala this year. The event will be a fun, hands-on, instructor-led art demonstration over Pinot Noir. All money raised from our upcoming event goes directly to support our core programs, which include support services, healthy lifestyles, education, resources & referrals, social connection & a support program for kids, ALWAYS provided free of charge.
Participation is easy! Each guest will receive a box with everything they need to participate from home: art supplies, wine, and a link to live, step-by-step painting instruction. Artist and Registered Art Therapist, Stacey Birst-Yates, will be providing the painting instruction on November 14th, from 7-9 pm. Secure your tickets now as they are limited and only available until October 29th!
At CSCNT, we strive to ensure no one faces cancer alone. We hope you will join our community of support in ensuring that our North Texas friends, family, and neighbors impacted by cancer are sustained by community.
We can’t wait to see you there, and hope you’ll tell your friends and come Paint the Canvas Red with us!
