Join BCA’s Leadership Arts Alumni for Connect for the Arts – A virtual gathering of N. Texas arts organizations

Business Council for the Arts’ (BCA) Leadership Arts Alumni (LAA) are creating a series of online forums for learning about and discussion of current challenges facing the North Texas arts & culture nonprofit community. Connect for the Arts will include open dialogue between leaders of nonprofit organizations as well as present expert speakers on the most prevalent challenges voiced in the registration survey and first session on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020 at 10am via Zoom.

The inaugural session will feature Dallas Arts District Executive Director, Lily Weiss, who will share insight on issues surrounding the reopening and survival of arts and culture nonprofits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the discussion of reopening Cathryn McClellan Kelly, Economic Education Specialist for the Federal Reserve and LAA Committee Member will moderate the discussion of additional issues faced by arts nonprofits for formulation of subsequent forums in the series.

Business Council for the Arts and the Leadership Arts Institute (LAI) were founded by notable philanthropist and business leader Ray D. Nasher to train and develop the next generation of business leaders for the arts in North Texas. Leadership Arts Alumni is a powerful group of LAI graduates with a wide range of skills from various industries.

We know that 2020 has been a year unlike any other including both COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement, so we’d like to hear from you to ensure we address and allow opportunities for sharing on the most relevant issues within this series.

Please complete the brief registration survey by clicking the button below. We ask that you limit attendees to your organization’s leadership and we encourage attendance by both employees and board members. This Connect for the Arts series is also open to BCA members and LAI graduates who are interested in continuing their education on board leadership and the North Texas arts & culture community.

Thank you for all that you do!

Warmly,
