Juror: Julie Shipp, Director of Galleries at Collin College, Professor of Art, and President of Frisco Arts.  Her work is in collections such as Neiman Marcus (La Cantera), UT Health Science Research Center and the AT&T Center in San Antonio  She has curated two other galleries prior to THE Arts Gallery, and was recently featured in a solo show at the REM Gallery of San Antonio. Her art is described as reminiscent “of Turner’s late work, of sweeping movements that imply, rather than describe, both setting and details”  Like Rauschenberg who spoke of ‘working in the gap’ Shipp’s work occupies the gap between the real and the perceived, and she describes herself “fueled by my survivorship”.
