Irving Arts Center COVID-19 Facility Closure Update

3/16/20   COVID-19 Facility Updates
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop we want to update you on the current status of our facilities.

Update 3/16/20 The CDC has updated their guidance on mass gatherings. In keeping with the CDC’s most recent guidance of 3/15/20 that in-person events consisting of 50 people or more be canceled or postponed throughout the United States for the next 8 weeks, Irving Arts Center is cancelling all events with planned or potential attendance over 50 persons through May 15, 2020.

The entire Irving Arts Center facility and Irving Archives and Museum will be completely closed to the public through Sunday, April 5.  The administrative offices will remain open at Irving Arts Center and Irving Archives & Museum with limited public access pending CDC and government guidance to the contrary.

During that time, Irving Arts Center will determine if it is able to safely re-open to the public with adherence to recommended guidelines for protecting patrons, staff, and vulnerable populations in a safe environment.  Closures and event cancellations may be extended at that time.

Since this situation is extremely fluid, I recommend you check our website for the latest information on cancellations and facility status.

On a positive note, amazing arts experiences will happen again. Full houses will happen again. Visual arts will inspire again. For now, take care of yourselves and each other.
