Before Dallas Blooms kicks off, plan a visit to the garden to enjoy jazz music and Mardi Gras. Two great jazz bands grace the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage & Lawn featuring La Pompe on Saturday February 22 and Monte Slaver and the Legacy Band on Sunday February 23. Both bands perform from 2-4pm. On February 25, the first 100 guests receive complimentary Mardi Gras beads upon arrival in celebration of “Fat Tuesday.” After picking up festive attire, guests can join in on the many themed events going on throughout the day, including a New Orleans-inspired floral arrangement demonstration by Michael Hamilton and a King’s Cake demonstration by Haute Sweets Patisserie located in A Tasteful Place. Note: all events listed above are free with paid garden admission.
