TVAA Gallery Art Exhibition for March 2020 – “Dallas: Our Iconic City”
With the end of a decade and the start of a new year, this exhibition: DALLAS Our Iconic City encourages artists to look back, through the decade, and create their work from a Dallas-related, iconic moment that has personally affected them in a positive way. CALENDAR:
Submission Deadline: Sunday, February 16th at midnight.
Acceptance Notification: Monday, February 24th by midnight.
Deliver artwork: Saturday, February 29th, from 10am-2pm
Exhibit Open to the Public: March 2nd – April 3rd, during Gallery business hours; Tuesday – Friday 10am – 4pm, and Saturdays 10am-2pm.
Reception: Saturday, March 7th, 2-4pm, Awards at Approximately 3:00
Pick up artwork: Saturday, April 4th, 10am-2pm. All artwork left after this day will accrue a $5 per day storage fee.
CURATOR: Frankie Garcia III
ABOUT THE CURATOR: Frankie Garcia III is an artist, curator, and advisor for local Dallas artists. He is a self-taught artist, raised in the Oak Cliff district of Dallas, TX. His painting style can be described as abstract constructivism, and Frankie embraces a variety of mixed-media compositions and incorporates an array of paints and niches within his art. Frankie founded FGIII Fine Art Productions in 1998, as an umbrella organization dedicated to establishing unity within the Dallas arts as well as instilling purpose and vision into the work of the individual artist.
ELIGIBILITY: This show is open to TVAA members and non-members with ribbons being awarded to Best of Show, 1st, 2nd 3rd place, and honorable mention. Cash awards for Best in Show and 1st place! Register at http://tvaa.org.
