Guest Artist –Pat Bailey – Jewelry

Mediums: Acrylic, Pastel and Crystal Jewelry

I’m a transplant from the northeast and have lived in Dallas, Texas for 36 years. My artistic journey began in 2003 after retirement from IBM. As a plein air artist I travel across the United States in search of the wild places. I am mainly self-taught and my subjects are predominately nature and wild life. National Forests and Wildlife Refuges fill my spirit with peace and I endeavor to bring that into my art. My golden retriever, Mico is my companion in my a-frame camper.

As a member of the Farmers Branch Carrollton Art Association, Farmers Branch, Texas, I administer the student scholarship program and I have been a member of the Irving Arts Center, Irving, Texas. My awards include Best of Show in the Farmers Branch Carrollton Art Association Members show and Third Place in the Irving Arts Center Members Show. I am also a past member of the Pastel Society of the Southwest and have taught acrylic classes at the Farmers Branch Senior Center.

Intense color heightens my memories of the wild places I’ve visited. I’ve been working in organic abstract design for three years. My interpretation of nature now grows in my free-flowing acrylic designs.

This year I’ve been creating jewelry: guitar string bracelets and wire wrapped natural crystal minerals in bracelets, pendants and necklaces. I sell them while traveling. I’m currently represented by The American Art Gallery in Hot Springs, AR

Workshop Supplies for Guitar String bracelets and crystal wrapped pendants will be provided by Pat. Please plan on $2.00 for each item you make.

Pat will donate the $10.00 workshop fee to our scholarship fund.
