TVAA Anthropology Exhibition call for entries

“Anthropology: The Artist as Anthropologist” – TVAA Gallery Art Exhibition for Jan 2020

Curator: Michael Wyatt

Anthropology: The study of aspects of humans within past and present societies. Social anthropology, cultural anthropology, and philosophical anthropology study the norms and values of societies.

Using the lens of an anthropologist, we’re calling for art that represents your personal perception of humans. While broad in study, using anthropology as a framework can allow the artist to draw on our curiosity and interpretations of human behavior. We all observe humankind personally, in the community, in history, and the world. This call invites artists to submit a visual representation expressing speculations or ideas you have studied regarding humans.
