Irving Arts Center Celebrates a Holiday of Masterpieces

Annual Holiday Open House and Performance Dec. 6

Irving Arts Center’s Holiday Open House is a tradition like no other in Irving. For the past 27 years, Irving Arts Center has celebrated the holidays with free family fun, highlighted by the annual Holiday Open House celebration, which this year embraces the theme: “A Holiday of Masterpieces.”

The free holiday open house event is December 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM features complimentary refreshments, holiday cookies, decorated trees and art. Activities for the family include the opportunity to snap a selfie with Santa, rides on the Polar Express Train in the Sculpture Garden, stilt-walkers, a caricature artist, holiday art projects and greeting card stations. A number of free performances are also offered during the open house including one by ARTrageous! ARTrageous features colorful live painting to rock and pop music inspired by the troupe’s vocalists, musicians and dancers.

At the conclusion of the Open House on December 6, ARTrageous will deliver a free performance.

Complimentary tickets to see the ARTrageous performance will be distributed on a first come, first-served basis at the Holiday Open House event on December 6.

Santa Saturdays feature Christmas crafts on December 7th, 14th, and 21st from 2-4pm.

On Sunday, December 8th the IAC will present Second Sunday FUNDAY from 1-4pm.

Irving Art Association will be providing holiday craft activities for children during the festivities.
