FROM THE GARDENS OF A DREAMSCAPE: SERIES PREVIEW AT LOCAL ARTIST’S OPEN STUDIO

Dallas, TX- Small sculptures and wearable art, inspired by biomorphic forms that grow out of wild dreams and flora found in the Texas and Hawaii landscapes. The series will be made available by Dallas-based artist, Donna Zarbin-Byrne.

The series release will coincide with the celebration of the artist’s new studio in East Dallas. The open studio with chili bar will be open to the public on Saturday, December 7, 11am-6:00pm and Sunday, December 8, 12-6pm.

Zarbin-Byrne, known as the “gardener of the dreamscape ” is noted for her large-scale installations. These small works serve to explore biomorphic forms in metal, encaustic, (beeswax) and found objects.

“I have always been inspired by the botanical world and enjoy the freedom and spontaneity that working small allows me. My work is full of playful humor as well as self -reflection. The whimsical forms include spirals, and abstractions of plants found only in your dreams. I use materials that contrast strength and fragility as found in nature as well as our own lives,” says Zarbin-Byrne.

The series will also be available through the artist’s website (donnazarbinbyrne.com) and Instagram account (@donnazarbinbyrneart).
