In Peril – Endangered Species

In Peril – Endangered Species is an exhibit showcasing three artistic formats, bringing awareness to the plight of animals around the globe. Charice Cooper, painter; Stormie Parker, ceramics; and Bruce Rosenstiel, photographer have documented the stages of endangerment from vulnerable to extinct in the wild through their individual medias.
The opening reception, Thursday, July 11th from 6 to 9 pm, will feature guest speaker Kim Taylor of the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) at 7 pm. Representatives of Fossil Rim and In-Sync Exotics (big cats) will be on hand, sharing information from their respective organizations.
Charice Cooper will donate an original print with authentication of one of her paintings to be auctioned. All proceeds from the auction will go to The World Wildlife Fund. The auction will continue through the closing reception on August 15th, 7 to 9 pm.
