Jeremiah Onifade uses art as a visual representation of his identity and experiences. His debut art show, entitled “A Prelude to the Beautiful Unknown,” will feature over 20 original works. Born in Northern Nigeria, most of his young life was overshadowed by poverty and persecution. The chance to attend the renowned Savannah College of Art and Design presented Onifade with the opportunity to come to America. The transition wasn’t an easy one, but through his prints, pieces and sculptures, he is able to channel his struggles into stunning stories.
In addition to his original work, the exhibit will feature an interactive DIY station as well as a live art piece.
