Barbara Tilka: A Therapeutic Stroke of Art

Originally from Cuba, Santa Barbara Tilka immigrated with her immediate family to the United States as a child. In many of her paintings, her use of vibrant colors reflects her Spanish heritage. This, and influences of her work as an Occupational Therapist where she thrives on seeing others strengthen, heal, and grow in their outlook, are seen in her work.

Her first solo exhibit titled “A Therapeutic Stroke of Art” is now showing at Keller’s, Elm Street Studio. See her bold, colorful botanicals, still life’s, and landscapes, some of which you may recognize from your own community are on exhibit from May 8 to July 5. Everyone is invited to a complimentary reception with sips and nibbles on Friday, May 31 from 6-8pm. For more details, visit www.ElmStreetStudioKeller.com.
