Friday, April 19th. 7-9pm (doors open at 6:30pm) – held at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving TX. Sponsored by the Irving Art Association.
This class will provide a basic introduction to the use of the etching press and the Pin Press in creating Monotypes.
Participants will see how to produce a printing plate from an original drawing or design and will become familiar with printmaking processes, tools, and techniques using non-toxic Akua inks.
Printmaker Junanne Peck will lead the session. She will supply the basic materials for a $5 supply fee (that includes some paper supplies– extra paper may be purchased.)
Bring an apron, paper towels, baby wipes and your design ideas. (drawings or photos to work from) Optional: Bring stamps, foliage, masks & stencils for design tools.
