POP Up 4 the Love of Art
Sat, Feb. 9th 2pm – 5pm Oak Cliff Cultural Center will host the second edition of Pop Up 4 the Love of Art! Amazing art will be on display and available for purchase. Come by to mingle, enjoy some apps and look at the art. An open mic session will take place from 4-5pm, so please come share some spoken word or poetry readings! 10% of the proceeds will go to Catch Up & Read. Catch Up & Read is equipping at-risk elementary students to read on grade level by 3rd grade. Their research-based literacy and social emotional intervention is led by dedicated educators. This approach allows them to provide long-term improvements for students, teachers and entire campuses – resulting in equitable education for all children and lasting improvement for our public schools. |
