The Visual Art League of Lewisville presents Mary Ellen Wehrli at Art
Talk on Tuesday, February 12th from 7-9 at the MCL Grand Theater, 100 N.
Charles Street in Lewisville.
She will give a demonstration on painting cats and dogs.
A native of San Francisco,Ca, she now resides in Lewisville, Tx. Her
formal Art studies began some 50+ years ago at San Jose
State University and the College of San Mateo.
She has exhibited in many juried shows throughout California and Texas
and has been a juror for several Art Organizations.
Her work is exhibited in many public buildings including the Santa Paula
museum, in which they purchased one and it is in their permanent
collection. She has also shown in the Newport Museum and the San Diego
Museum.
She was the Fine Arts Supervisor for the Orange County Fair, the Fine
Art coordinator for the Los Angles County Fair, and the Special Events
Coordinator for the Art-A-Fair Festival in Laguna Beach California. Her
murals were featured on the front of the Art-A-Fair building for 20
years.
Mary Ellen has won many awards for various styles of Art. She has
worked for Companies creating designs for Cards, Calendars,
Collector Plates, Puzzles, Cross stitch designs, Posters, Limited
Edition Prints. A Publishing Company, Arts Limited ,was started so she
could self publish her own work.
She does representational and abstract forms of art and works in various
mediums. Mary Ellen will demonstrate different techniques. (Highlighting
